Riparian restoration is the slow art of putting a river's banks back — willows and alder, root wads and floodplain. We fund and instrument these projects, then watch them work for years.
What we do
plant native willows, alder, cottonwood structure root wads, beaver analogs, log jams measure temperature and sediment before/after fund open applications, two cycles a year
Why it matters
Shade cools the water. Roots hold the bank. A restored reach is a machine for making cold water — and cold water is everything.
