Flow tells you how much; quality tells you what. Turbidity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and a few ions — read from sensors we put in the river, and from grab samples we still take by hand.
What we track
turbidity sediment, in NTU DO dissolved oxygen, mg/L temp hourly, year-round grab lab samples for nutrients + metals
Why it matters
A river can be full and still be dead. Quality is the difference between water and habitat.
